Pocket Full of Spring

Here's to the warmer and brighter days to come! The pocket is actually a picture of my jeans pocket. I took a photo of it and scanned it in and printed it out on my PC. The flowers are from one of an old, old first few stamps I ever owned. Enjoy your spring!

Awesome Monkey

Here's another card for the local stamp club challenge. The only stamp used on this one is the sentiment from Stampin' Up! The monkey is from a Funky Monkey chocolate box that my son gave me for Valentine's day. And if you know me, I hardly ever throw anything of this nature away. I did add the little earring to jazz it up a little. It's just a fun little card for my son. Hope you like!

Here's the close-up of the earring.

Just Loving You

For some reason, my son just loves this clown! So, I thought I'd make him another card using it. Both the clown image and sentiment stamps are from the Stampinback line over at I Brake for Stamps. Background was a scrap piece from long ago and I have forgotten what it was. I love using red pompoms for his nose and an added small dash of colour, just another simple card.

This is a very simple card using the negative of a snowflake die cut. Sentiment is from Stampin' Up!

I hope you all are getting a chance to relax and spend good quality time with your loved ones and not letting the busyness during this time of year get in the way of the true meaningful Christmas celebration! Retro Noel

OK, so this image was done before my Copic days, hidden away in a Christmas pile. As you can see, the colouring was nothing to be desired. I love the retro look but just don't seem to make too many cards with that look! Anyway, here's another quick and simple one :)

A CASE Study :)

I saw Catherine using the nesties dies to make one of her cards. I thought it was such a clever idea. I decide to do a little CASE-ing :) Only one little sentiment stamp from Stampin' Up! was used. The flower was from a Stampin' Up! punch as well. Simple but pretty, huh?

Enjoy Your Birthday!

I just love this postcard that came with my order from Crafty Individuals over in the UK. Couldn't let it go to the city recycle bin now, could I? So, I trim it down and turned it into this beautiful card! What an easy card to make! Oval sentiment courtesy of my dear sweet SBS9 sister, Natalie!

The Lord is My Rock

The Lord is my rock and my fortress, and my deliverer;
my God, my strength, in whom I will trust ...
Psalm 18:2

Love this image from an Australian company. I don't remember the name of the company, sorry. My brother was the one who get it for me. The verse is from Biblical Impressions. There is no special technique but a lot of sponging on this one. Hope you like.

Spooky?

Here's the spooky version of the tree I told you from yesterday :) Is it spooky enough? Another very simple and super quick card. Don't you just love 'em little eyes peeking 'Boo' at you?

Halloween Pumpkin Kid

Here's a card I did for my SBS9 sister, Wendy's World Card Making Day challenges. She has 2 challenges going on at the moment. One is to use Blings and the other is to use Punches. Today, just before midnight is the deadline. And I don't think I'm going to be able to make another card before the deadline. So, I tried to hit two birds with just the one stone. It's probably a long stretch for both challenges but it'll have to do for now :)

Here's the card. Image is by Innovative Stamp Creation. Sentiment is by Stampin' Up! I don't know if Nestability dies count as punches, but my huge pumpkin is made of 5 ovals cut from the oval dies. I did punch the small oval for the sentiment with SU! medium oval punch. A maple leaf punch is used to make part of the the pumpkin's stem. Curly thingamagic is just tiny strip of olive cardstock curled with a pair of scissors. You ask where is my bling? If you notice, you will see a little sparkle stuff on the sentiment. I used Iridescent Ice EP for it.

So, what do you say, Wendy? You think I meet both your requirements? *WINK*

Here's just a little close-up. Hope you like!

Friend to Friend

Saw Nancy's card yesterday using this dress. I knew right away I had to make one because I think it's so very pretty. You can find the pattern for this card here. I also saw how Bev of Savour the Journey did her tag. I love the look of it. Decided I had to do that too. Not very original, huh? But isn't it pretty? Sorry for the picture from the dark side again. But truly, it's not as dark as it looks on here. You just take my word for it :)

Friends ... No Matter What!

Today is the last day of this year National Old Friends, New Friends Week. Here's a card I did to celebrate friendships. One of my newest Changito stamps I got just the night before. Changito is from Stampendous. Background is Re-inker Splash from the TJ Newsletter, Feb '08 issue.

Best Friends, Again?

Another PDQ card for today to celebrate old or new friendships! I really am in love with these two best friends. They are from Whipper Snapper Designs. Coloured in with markers and H2O Brush.

Old Friends, New Friends Week

This year, 18th May - 24th May, is the Old Friends, New Friends Week. And I want to start this celebration of friendships with this card in honour of all my friends all around the world. The sentiment sums up pretty much how important friendship is to me. Friendships are a very large part of my life. Old or new, I will savour and cherish until the end of my days!

Thank you, dear friends, for all that you are to me!
