Happy Anniversary!
So, today it's my anniversary! Made this card for DH to celebrate the many years together. Image is from Eureka Stamps. I just love to use this image for wedding or anniversary card. Background is Frog in the Blender technique from the TJ Newsletter, Oct. '06 issue. Don't remember who made the sentiment though, sorry. Oh, and this is also for the Gingersnap Creations' Chestnut Challenge - Lambs & Lions.
Happy Anniversary, Dear! :)

Until next time, may mojo live happily in your heart, and may passion bloom in your soul. Be well!

Dad!
Here's my masculine card for Alex's sketch challenge for June. My girlie one was yesterday's post! Main Image is from Tin Can Mail. Sentiment is by Tim Holtz. Background for both is Frog in the Blender, TJ technique 10 - '06 issue. And I thought to add a little stitching around the edges just because Alex always has fabulous stitches on her cards and she is good with them. Truth be told, mine are nothing like her fancy stitches!
Have a great Sunday! Until next time. Be well!

Feel with the Heart!
Thursday, we had a huge storm with wind at almost 90 mph. We lost power for about 16 hours or so. We could hear the power company working with their chainsaws throughout the night. And our wind chimes were going crazy all the while. But all is well now and more cards to show.
This card is for my SBS9 sister, Alex's sketch challenge for June! Image is from the Rummage Bin, Cornish Heritage Farms. Background for the image is done using melted crayon technique. There is actually lots of pink in it. Don't know why the camera didn't quite capture it. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado, was done on a Frog in the Blender background.

Here's the sketch.

I do have the masculine card for this sketch done but haven't have time to take the photo yet. So, until next time. Be well!

Friday Sketchers #4.1
Here's a card for Friday Sketchers #4. A very simple but effective and always "in-fashion" (for lack of a better word at the moment) kinda sketch. Stamp is Paperbag Studio. Background is Frog in the Blender, a TJ technique from 10 - '06 issue. Sentiment is from smArtworks.

Here's the sketch.
Until next time. Be well!

Hugs & Kisses
Here's another card for the non-traditional Valentine's card challenge for my local stamp club.
Background was done using Frog in a Blender technique from the TJ Newsletter, Oct '06 issue. Image, by Peddler's Pack, was stamped using Timber Brown StazOn ink. Hugs & Kisses, by Stampin' Up!, was stamped on a metal tag with the same ink. Tell me please if this will do for a non-traditional card!?!
My brother will be here tomorrow! Oh, I'm just so excited about him being here. Besides coffeeshops hopping, we really don't have much else planned. But we'll have lots of time catching up. He's half a world away and for being able to have him here for a week is pure blessing!
Thanks, Y'all for looking! Have a wonderful day!

Happy for You!

Here's another "Frog" I did a long while back. The image, by Peddlers' Pack, was stamped using StazOn Timber Brown ink. Sentiment is by Stampin' Up! and is stamped on a piece of copper strip using the StazOn Jet Black ink because it showed up better. I then attached the copper strip to the card base with copper vintage brads.
Have a great Friday, one and all!

The Woman
This is another of the Frog in the Blender technique found in the TJ Newsletters. It's one of those easy to do with marvelous result techniques. You hardly have to do much dressing up the card. The stamp is unmounted and unknown to me whom made it. Got it for a couple dollars at a used stamp sale. I did edge the edges with silver Krylon leafing pen. I then mounted the image onto a black card base. Finished off with more fibre and beads. This card and the card I posted yesterday were done using regular matted card. The next card is done on a glossy card. Notice the differences? Personally, I prefer the matted card to the glossy card.Blessing
This is the "Frog" done on a white glossy cardstock. Stamp is called Blessing by Wordsworth. I think the script is taken from Numbers 6:24-26 of the good Book. I just love it, one stamp on a cool background and you are pretty much done :o)Have a great day One and All.

Creature from the Black Lagoon
Ah..., I spent so much time this a.m. trying to get the blog the way I had it in my head. But alas, time was wasted. So, I thought I'd post the first card I did for a swap on the Inky Fun Stampers board. The background was done using Frog in the Blender technique, found in Technique Junkie Newsletter - October '06 (subscribe HERE). Stamp is by Lasting Impressions with Panache. Then I used Prisma coloured pencils to colour in and add highlights. I used Krylon Gold Leafing pen on the edges before I mounted it onto a black base card. Finished with fibre and beads.
I have a couple of questions about the cards I should post here. You would be much appreciated if y'all could leave a little feedback to my two questions. TIA.
1. Would you mind seeing cards I have done in the past using diffenrent techniques from Technique Junkie Newsletters or just the brand new cards I create as the days go by? Believe me I have lots of them.
2. Would you want to see the few cards that were previously published in VSN Magazine or is this old news?
Feedback and/or constructive criticism is always welcome here. I'd like y'all to be happy and enjoy your visit when you are kind enough to stop by. If nothing else, I guess I should go take more pix of my humble work!
Have a blessed day!
