This card features one of Korin's February new releases. This set is called His Eye is on the Sparrow. It's simply beautiful with inspiring sentiments! This card also features 2 TJ newsletter techniques. Background is the TechniqueColour Dye Inks (Dec. '07 issue) and the image uses the Out of the Box technique (Oct. '04 issue). Image is coloured in with Copic pens.

Until next time, may mojo live happily in your heart, and may passion bloom in your soul. Be well!

Steady Bridge

This card features the Technicolour Dye Inks from TJ Newsletter, Dec '07 issue. Background was done by running it thru the Cuttlebug embossing folder and I tried to bring out the pink from the background of the image by sponging some pink on the embossed part. Stamp is from Chapel Road Artstamps. A quickie for today!

Hope you like!

Joy

Another card that is so not me. I try to step out of my box every now and then. The right half of the base card was done by running it thru the Cuttlebug embossing folder. Then I sponged some white ink over the embossed area and also on the left part of the card that was not embossed just to tone the pink down a bit. The main image from Chapel Road Artstamps was stamped on a Technicolour Dye Inks background. The technique is the TJ Newsletter technique, the Jan '08 issue.

So what do you think? Should I keep staying in my box? =O)

Happy Birthday, Amber!

I'm stepping out of my box big time with this one. I made this for my new found sister, on SBS 9, Amber. Her birthday IS today. I was getting a little carried away with glitters and all.

Background was done using Technicolour Dye Inks technique from the TJ Newsletter, Dec '08 - Jan '08 issue. Oliver the Owl and the branch are clear stamp by Sassafras Lass. I coloured in with markers and added dimension with diamond glaze. I then added some fine glitters to the glazed area. Very shiny and glittery IRL. Celebrate was a sticker *gasp* and Hoo! was my attempted doodling job! I hope she'll like the card!

Sketch Challenge {008} - BOY

I saw on Nancy's blog that there was a sketch challenge over at Erin's blog. So, I skedaddled over and this is a quick card I came up with for the challenge {008}.

Background on the image was done using again the Technicolour Dye Inks technique from TJ Newsletter, Dec '07 - Jan '08 issue. Image, from Art Journey, was stamped with Walnut Stain & Old Paper Distress© ink. I distressed the edges with distressing tool. The textured piece of the base card was done by running it thru a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Twill tape was stamped with Old Paper Distress© ink. The main image was raised up a bit with foam tape. Hope you like!

Tomorrow is supposed to be very very cold here (17° F). Good day to go out car shopping. Not! But we need a newer vehicle really badly. I will just have to brave the cold and wind and do it! Wish me lots of grace!

Have a great weekend, y'all!

Happiness is...

Wow, I just realised that I posted the 100th post yesterday! Can't believe it myself. Hope my blogging inspires some of you in some little ways. Here's a card for post #101.

This card features yet again the Technicolour Dye Inks from the Dec '07 - Jan '08 issue of the TJ Newsletter. If you love stamping techniques like I do, you must check out the newsletter. Pat Huntoon is doing a great job delivering new stamping techniques every couple of months. I have been a loyal subscriber since its conception. Never regretted being a junkie!

Main image is from Chapel Road Artstamps, a Canadian base company. Swirls on the background piece is from the Tim Holtz Collection© by Stampers Anonymous. Thanks for stopping by today!

Angelic Swirls

I was playing this morning with the Technicolour Dye Inks technique. Made a whole bunch of background in only a few minutes. I'll be making more cards using the background I made this morning. And here's one using the said technique. Isn't the stamp beautiful? Got it from Curious by Design. Check them out they have some beautiful stamps!

Thanks for visiting! Have a great weekend!

Weedy Thoughts

Another quickie today before I run off with the rest of my day. I made this for a dear friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer. I want her to know I love her dearly and will always be thinking of her and will be praying for her.

This card features one of the latest TJ Newsletter techniques, Technicolour Dye Inks. Go check it out (Dec '07-Jan '08 issue). This is another one of those easy peasy with effective result kinda techniques. Weed stamp is by Chapel Road Artstamps. The sentiment is by Stampin' Up!

Another simple card for my dear readers today.
