SBS9 Colour Challenge - The Girlie Edition, a Stretch

Here's another card I did for Debbie's colour challenge. Yellow, orange and black. I know, it's a little bit of a stretch. It will have to do, at least for now. All stamps are Stampin' Up! I resisted the main image using Vaseline. Love how it gives the "bleached" look without the strong bleach smell.

It's All Good!

The kid looks so happy with all of his pumpkins & his kitty! Got him from Eureka Stamps. Sentiment is from Gina K. Designs. This card is for my SBS9 sister, Debbie's colour challenge. We must use orange, yellow & black. Fun! I love autumn for it's cool temperature, for the beautiful colours in creations everywhere, for it being a season of thanksgiving and for the pure reason that I grew up with out one for 18 solid years :) To me, indeed, it's all good! The pumpkins were paper-pieced using painted pigment technique from the TJ Newsletter, 8-'08 issue.

Born to be Wild

As many of you know, when I do a challenge, whether it be a combo of colours or a sketch, I try to make 2 cards for each challenge. One card is for the guys and the other is for the gals. Yesterday was my girlie card. This one is my guy card for Kim Marie's green & purple challenge. The green part wasn't so bad. The purple part was a little bit of a challenge. Then when Ty & I talked about Super Hero Night at AWANA, The Incredible Hulk came to mind. He is green, right? Ty said I could make his pants purple. Nice thought, but no, thank you. I'll just stick with this kiddo here using the technique from the TJ Newsletter, Magic Maduzia. I just went heavier on the green. Main stamp is Cornish Heritage Farm. Sentiment is Cloud 9 clear stamp. Turned out OK, don't you think?

Life - A Precious Gift!

Did this card for Kim Marie's purple & green colour challenge. It also uses a technique from TJ Newsletter ages ago called Magic Maduzia (4-'05). Fun but your fingers get all messed up which I never really minded. All stamps are Stampin' Up! Hope you like! Come back tomorrow for my purple & green boy card!

Until next time, may mojo live happily in your heart, and may passion bloom in your soul. Be well!

One card, Two Challenges

OK, here's a card for 2 challenges. First challenge is for the Stamp Something Sketch challenge #7. And the other is for my SBS9 sister, Sue's colour challenge which are pink & brown. The image is Buggawump. I coloured in with Copic markers. This is BTW, my girlie version of the sketch challenge. My masculine one is done but needs to be pictured.

Here's the sketch.

Thanks for stopping. Until next time. Be well!

Two More Birds - One Stone

My SBS9 sisters, Louise, has a colour challenge from mid May until mid June. Her colours are Blue & Green. Tracy, has a sketch challenge for the month of May. Here's is my take for both challenges. It's a shaker card with blue micro beads to represent sand on the beach. Stamp image is my super star Changito by Stampendous. Oval sentiment, courtesy of dear SBS9 sister, Natalie. Bless you, Sis! Image coloured in with markers and H2O brush during the Royals baseball game :) Hope you like!

Here's Tracy's sketch for May.
Until next time. Be well!
