Give Thanks Forever

Happy Thanksgiving to one and all!

When you have just one beautiful stamp, you hardly ever need any other to complete a beautiful card. Don't you just agree with that? Here are a few samples of the just one beautiful script stamp from I Brake for Stamps. All but one were stamped with Versafine ink and embossed with black EP, on different background techniques.

This first one is done on watercolour paper. Colour-washes were used for the background.

This second one is on a regular smooth stock, brayered with spectrum pad.

This one is done on an oil pastel on regular smooth stock.

Last but not least, for this one, I stamped using VersaFine ink, let dry and coloured on top with my Copic markers.

May you find many things in your life you are thankful for today and always! Thanks for stopping by. Until next time, may mojo live happily in your heart, and may passion bloom in your soul. Be well!

Coffee?

Another quickie today. The distressed background was done using Moon Shadow Mist by Lindy's Stamp Gang. I just love the shimmery effect from this mist. Image is by Impression Obsession, coloured in with pink *gasp* Gelly Roll and white gel pen. I think my attempt at using pink turned out well *wink*. What do you say? What about the polka-dotted cup? A little bit of an over-killed, I know :)

Have a blessed day!

Zia's Project

Finished Piece: 10" x 16"

I did this when I took a class from Zena Clark of Stamp Zia. She is an incredible artist. Her stamps are beautiful and large. Her use of colours is totally amazing. Check out her work, you will know what I mean!

This piece was done on watercolour paper and it used a lot of colour washes that she carries. The butterflies and scribble stamps are also by her. When we were done, many people cut there pieces down and re-arranged them smaller pieces to create an arty paper quilt. I couldn't bare to cut mine apart bacuase I just so loved the way it looked as it was. And this is how I finished mine off. It was a whole lotta fun doing this piece.

Have a blessed day!
