Thankful Thoughts, Your Way!

This was done for a Card of the Month swap on Stampers' Corner Yahoo group. The background is done using shaving cream marbling technique. Image, a retired set by Stampin' Up! was stamped and embossed with black EP, then, bleached out with Clorox® Bleach Pen® Gel. Let dry completely and coloured in with Prismacolor coloured pencils. Sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped with VersaMark and embossed also with black EP.

How I do my shaving cream technique, you wonder? In a pan / meat tray / cookie sheet with side / anything of the like, squirt some cream, the cheaper, the better. Spread the cream out nice and smooth. With re-inker, drop a few drops of different colours here and there. With a chopstick or skewer, swirl the cream and re-inker around to create swirly pattern to mimic the marble look. Once you get the look you like, place a piece of smooth paper face down into the cream. Lift it up and squeegee off the excess cream. Let dry. Now, you have your nice and marble-like background to use. Try marbling on printed text paper for altered book pages or collage for a different variation. Very messy but very fun and addicting background to play with. My son, Ty and I had a blast making tons of background with this technique.

Hope y'all have a fulfilling day!

Please, no music on webpages. Or at least make it "off" by default. I hate opening pages and getting a sudden burst of unknown music.
