So, what do you think about my very first scrap page ever? When I took it down to clean the glass so I could take pictures of it, pieces started falling off the backings. You see, I glued, with rubber cement, all pictures and magazines pieces to the cardboard and used decorated edged scissors to cut them out. Then glued all those pieces to the cardboard backing. If you look real close, you can see yellowed edges around pictures and cut out words. Not very archival, is it?
I did the journalling in white ink, in my own hand writing. The white chalky background on the green paper was supposed to be a heart. I just used white coloured pencil to colour in the area to form a heart.
Not a single stamp was used in this lay out. A lot of magazine and catalog words and pages and a few stickers. Colours are crashing left and right. None of the stickers are really the same theme. I used them because I have a thing for Peanuts Gang. And it took almost 5 months for me to finish.
In the end, it did turn out quite nicely, if I may say so myself. My hubby loves it. We had it up on a wall in our living room for a very long time. Then after I found out about scrapbooking, I moved it into The Pit aka my studio to keep me from being ridiculed of using non archival stuff.
I'll keep and cherish this forever. If the pieces falls off, I'll keep fixing them and putting them back up, just because!
Have a blessed day!
