The Caffrey Clan

I found the page I was talking about the other day. The one I made for my friend, Lea's 40th birthday. Lea's sister was collecting "Lea's Friends" pages to make an album for her before she moved to the great state of Illinois. Not the best piccie of us but that was what I had on hand at the moment. Here it is!

This was done back in 2003. My son was only a wee thing then. You can probably tell also by the un-professional look of it. I stamped a light yellow cardstock with a flower stamp by Stampin' Up! with silver ink. I wrapped the piccie with scrap pieces of the yellow cardstock, foil and moss coloured grosgrain ribbon and a metal-edged key tag is hung from the ribbon. Then mounted that on another scrap piece of torn moss cardstock that was distressed around the edges. And attached that on the base paper by sewing it on. I kinda did the same with the moss cardstock and foil strip, also sewn on. And here, you can see I have always been fascinated by all things metal. I had to have those washers used somewhere. I tried to contrast the hard metal look with some yellow beads. I stamped our surname on square metal-edged tags and hung those as title on a piece of steel cable attached to the base paper with two silver brads. And that's pretty much it! Hope you like!

Until next time! Be well!
