Walk for Lupus Now Fundraising

Tomorrow, there is a "Walk for Lupus Now" (Lupus Foundation of America) here in the Kansas City area. My family and I will be walking to support a dear dear friend of ours, Elise Johnson. This fundraising is to help improve the diagnosis and treatment of lupus, support individuals and families affected by the disease, increase awareness of lupus among health professionals and the public, and find the causes and cure.

The "Walk" is the Kansas City Chapter's largest fundraising event of the year and is very critical for providing funds necessary for their programs and services.

If you would like to make a donation for the cause, please visit http://www.firstgiving.com/butterflygrl and just say you know Manna :) It only takes minutes, is totally secure and you can leave a message with your donation too.

And if you live here in the area and would like to join the walk, registration begins at 8 am. This is a 5K (3.1 miles) level-terrain trail that goes through the Corporate Woods Office Park in Overland Park, Kansas. Or you can register online at www.firstgiving.com/kcwalkforlupusnow .

Thank you all for your time and consideration! Until next time!
